Today, the Starcraft Replay Vault is eight moons old. To celebrate this unforeseen longevity, I'm shooting it like the dead horse it is. Hey, remembering the one-month anniversary, I should be lauded for doing anything at all... Okay, maybe I should take this spotlight and do something constructive with it. So cease your clamor and lend me your ears, for I have much to say...I bring you, my dear reader, the twenty most insightful three-word anagrams for "Starcraft Replay Vault":
Vascular flattery tarp. It's almost scary how well that sums up this wild eight-month ride. Because, if you think about it, we're all just tarps trying to make it in a world always trying to flatter us vascularly. And I do want you to think about it. Or don't. You'll get yours in Hell either way, sinner. Anyway, this is as far as the Vault is going to go. This began as a disappointment to me at least, since I had a few more things planned for it, but the simple truth is that it isn't worth updating this site anymore. It was always time-consuming and now I'm pretty sure I don't even have an audience for it, if you've noticed the lack of diversity in the replays lately. First, I'm not used to sites being such a commitment (and therefore drain of time and energy) as this...eight months is a long time to be updating the same site so frequently for me. Second, I created the Vault to be an archive for Antioch replays, but I'm just not getting a whole lot of support here so it feels like I'm just classifying my own personal collection for my own benefit, which doesn't feel very productive. The support I did receive was valued, though...thanks to the artists (fellow TPCians Styles, Phal, and Fly) and the architects (TPC for his server, Dine for helping out with the site, and both for hosting). So that wraps up the Replay Vault...I'm left with some eighty replays and eight hundred screen shots that I haven't got up yet, but don't expect those too soon. Anyhow, purely for the curious amongst us...
Some final Replay Vault goodies: crappy, miscellaneous text files I never bothered to release before and the Classic, Frost, Green, and Grey Day color schemes.
