About

["Trench," Mox, and Turmalis]

Antioch Forever is a forum community originally formed around the Starcraft campaign, The Antioch Chronicles. Although it has far outgrown these roots, this site serves as a living museum to both Antioch and the community it fostered.

I don't like to mess with the Main Page, but this concerns everyone. The Antioch History section is up, with the point of view from some Forumers. Go there add yours, and, if you don't have an avatar yet, get one (that's why some of the images are broken). Feel free to change the titles there (go, you will see what I mean).

First new update! Yay!

I added some new material for the Terran Lynx in the Antioch Art section. Thanks to PlasmaWrath for supplying it. I'll be adding some more material later, such as the descriptions of each new A3 unit from the Uber Updates. I also tweaked my own section earlier, but no one really cares about that.

Oh, and for those who care, the Special Edition of Chapter 1 and the demo for Chapter 2 of Antioch Wars are out now. The minor bugs we had at the outset yesterday have been squashed.

No, don't worry, you didn't get an error page. Welcome to Antioch Forever 2004 (I forget if that's this upcoming year or the number of times I've remade the site). This is the Red Moon design that I've been fiddling with for a month or two now. If you hate change and want your damn sidebar back or whatever, then freak not; alternative appearance schemes, including the previous layout, are already implemented. Some pages may have been broken or severely funkified as a result of the new look; sorry, you'll have to go back and tweak them. You'll also have to create new accounts in the Preferences page. Oh, and there should be a menu bar, but it isn't ready yet.

The site has improved in more than just aesthetics; it's been supercharged under the hood too. The site now runs on UseModWiki v1.0. This is a much cleaner and more advanced codebase than the last one; there are tiny improvements apparent throughout the site as a result of the switch, plus numerous large improvements you probably won't notice that make the code easier to tweak and expand.

You may have noticed that you can no longer modify this page. Some pages have been locked to maintain a consistent look and feel. I.e., to keep you weirdos from adding a four-word update every time you fix a typo somewhere. Throughout the week, I will be appointing administrators to help maintain the site (you can request that an admin lock, delete, or rename your pages). Admins will also be the only editors who can update locked pages such as this one. I think this is a reasonable compromise between complete publishing freedom and some design consistency. You're all still free to post about your latest submissions, the latest way of writing the date you thought of, and so forth, on the forum, so the home page will just be for important, site-wide information.

Anyway, things are still, as ever, under construction, so throw some opinions out here.
